Marijuana is becoming mainstream, but don't be fooled.

William J. Bennett, former director of the National Drug Control policy under President George H.W. Bush and co-author Robert A. White reveal strong societal and scientific arguments in Going to Pot: Why the Rush to Legalize Marijuana Is Harming America.

According to Bennett and White, Marijuana causes abnormal brain structure and development, interferes with judgment, and impairs driving. The costs of legalization will not only affect our tax dollars and health care, but the safety of our children and the productivity of our nation.

With marijuana legalized in four states and others expected to follow, Bennett dispels the myths, exposes the negative effects of legalization already in place, and provides answers and fact-based arguments against further legalization. As one of the country’s most influential voices on the cultural and political landscape, Bennett asks readers to do their own research about the dangers of marijuana legalization and medicalization with critical thinking and common sense.

From the co-authors comes a call-to-action for the 48% of Americans who know better than to support legalization and a voice of reason for millions who have jumped on the legalization bandwagon because they haven’t had access to the facts.

As informed citizens we must speak up now, or America’s future will soon be Going to Pot.

Reviews of GOING TO POT

"A smart sensible approach to the issue of Marijuana use and legalization in today's society... The truth might just shock you, I was so surprised about how many lies about marijuana I had blindly accepted. A must read in today's ever changing world!"
Faye, Goodreads Review

"Going to Pot explores...critical issues in a nation that is at the brink of making a decision that will bring the same level of morbidity to our country as tobacco has (albeit differing types of morbidity). We've heard so much from proponents of legalized marijuana. Here's the opportunity to hear from the opponents."
— Dr. Stuart Gitlow, President of the American Academy of Addiction Medicine

"Going to Pot is the best book on the subject... It is well-written and well-referenced. Every American should read it before making any opinion on the legalization of a dangerous drug like marijuana. It should be a required read for all US lawmakers and politicians." —The Washington Book Review

"As one whose life was nearly destroyed by drug use as a teenager and young adult, I urge everyone who wants to understand the issues in the debate about marijuana to read this important fresh look at the misguided leap toward the legalization of marijuana.” Canon and Culture
